Japan announced its final 2024 Paris Olympics roster featuring well-known players such as Rui Hachimura, Yuta Watanabe, Josh Hawkinson, and Yuki Kawamura.

Hachimura, who currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, is making his return to the national team after missing the FIBA World Cup 2023.

Watanabe, another key player, spent most of the 2023-24 season with the Phoenix Suns. After being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in February 2024, he declined his player option and is now expected to sign with the Chiba Jets in Japan, according to BasketNews' Donatas Urbonas. Watanabe brings six years of NBA experience to the team.
