Maccabi have signed Roman Sorkin to a five-year extension, securing the 27-year-old player's services through 2029.
Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv have officially signed Roman Sorkin to a five-year extension, keeping him with the team through 2029.
This upcoming season will be Sorkin's fourth in a Maccabi uniform, and he has shown consistent improvement in his individual stats each year.
Last season, he averaged 16.2 points (67% for twos, 49% from three), 5.9 rebounds, and 1 block in 23 minutes per game during the Israeli League regular season. In the domestic playoffs, his contributions included 14.9 points (56% from beyond the arc), 6.8 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game.
In the EuroLeague, Sorkin participated in 32 games, averaging 6.8 points and 3.1 rebounds in 15:45 minutes per game.
The 27-year-old Sorkin, born in Belarus, immigrated to Israel with his family at the age of two.
He played college basketball at the University of Oregon from 2014 to 2018, helping his team reach the prestigious Final Four. After returning from college, Sorkin signed with Maccabi Haifa, where he played for three years, from 2018 to 2021.
