LeBron James offered words of encouragement to Aleksa Avramovic following Serbia's defeat to the USA. The gesture boosted Avramovic's confidence ahead of their next game against Puerto Rico.
Serbia began its Olympic Games campaign with a tough loss against Team USA.
After the game, Serbian guard Aleksa Avramovic admitted that Team USA was far superior and emphasized the importance of moving forward with their next game against Puerto Rico on Wednesday.
"We started the game very aggressively and took an early 8-point lead. However, we were up against a team of 12 fantastic players, and even though Durant hadn't played in two months, he still managed to score 21 points by halftime," Avramovic said after the game via Mozzart Sport.
"We had our chances, but every time we tried to close the gap, they hit a 3-pointer. They had an excellent shooting night, while we missed many open shots. We're fully focused on the next game against Puerto Rico," Avramovic added.

Despite the defeat, Avramovic will likely remember this game for the rest of his life. After the game, LeBron James approached Avramovic in the mixed zone, praising him for his good performance.
The 29-year-old Avramovic also revealed that Serbia watched the game between South Sudan and Puerto Rico.
"Both teams are very good. They play fast and have excellent transition offense. We need to show our qualities and remain calm," concluded the Serbian guard.
Serbia's next game is scheduled for Wednesday at 17:15 against Puerto Rico, a crucial match for their aspirations in the tournament.
