Mantas Rubstavicius joined Zalgiris Kaunas on a long-term deal and was loaned to EuroCup's Lietkabelis Panevezys.
Having previously signed a number of players to revamp the roster, Zalgiris Kaunas made yet another addition during the offseason. This time, the player is going out on a loan.
The Lithuanian team announced that 22-year-old Mantas Rubstavicius is joining the organization on a long-term deal. He will be loaned to EuroCup's 7bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys.
Rubstavicius played for the New Zealand Breakers in the NBL last season, averaging 9.5 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game.
It won't be the first time the youngster will officially represent Zalgiris, as he was a member of the club's youth system before departing to Lietkabelis in the 2022-23 season.
Rubstavicius played for the Golden State Warriors in the Las Vegas Summer League this offseason, averaging 10.5 points per game in two contests. In 2022, he led the Lithuanian U20 team to the U20 EuroBasket final. He was the top scorer of the tournament (19.7 points per game) and was named into the All-Tournament five.
