Spain heading into a crucial 2024 Paris Olympic basketball tournament matchup against Canada with doubts surrounding Santi Aldama and Rudy Fernandez.

The national team head coach, Sergio Scariolo, confirmed that Aldama and Fernandez are not 100% ready yet but didn't rule them out for the upcoming game.

"We have tried to prepare for the game as best as possible, to recover the injured players [Fernandez and Aldama], about whom we still don't know anything," Scariolo said via AS. "No decision has been made about the players who are not 100 percent."

It's unclear what kind of injury Aldama carries, as he finished the game with Greece with 19 points (6/14 FG, 3/8 3PT, 4/4 FT), 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 blocks, and 25 EFF in 30 minutes of play.

Meanwhile, Fernandez suffered a head injury from a collision with a teammate, Juancho Hernangomez, at the beginning of the 4th quarter.

He appeared dizzy on Spain's bench and was escorted off the court midway through the fourth quarter, not returning to the game.

Rudy Fernandez holds the record for the most Olympic appearances by a Spanish player and is set to retire from professional basketball after the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The game between Spain and Canada is scheduled for Friday at 17:15 CET (11:15 a.m. ET). Find out every possible scenario before the final Olympics basketball game day.
