Skylar Mays will pursue a chance to continue his career in the NBA but the player's camp is in negotiations with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan to play in the EuroLeague if the NBA opportunity doesn't materialize.
After not making it to the playoffs last year despite having one of the larger budgets in the EuroLeague, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan continue building the roster for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
According to Alberto Marzagalia from Eurodevotion, Milan is currently in close negotiations with Skylar Mays.
The deal might not be imminent as Mays is inclined to pursue his chance in the NBA, Sportando notes.
Mays started last season by playing for the Portland Trail Blazers. After averaging 6.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game, the 26-year-old guard got waived in the middle of the season and joined the Los Angeles Lakers in January on a two-way contract.
He appeared on the court in 17 games for the Lakers and averaged 1.3 points per contest. Mays played 7 games for the South Bay Lakers in the NBA G League last season, averaging 21.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
Milan has parted ways with eight players and signed eight new reinforcements this offseason, while Ismael Kamagate will be loaned.
