Maccabi have signed French-Guinean center Alpha Kaba to a month-and-a-half contract to fill the void left by Wenyen Gabriel's absence.
Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv have officially signed Alpha Kaba to a month-and-a-half contract, filling the gap left by Wenyen Gabriel's knee injury.
Kaba, a 28-year-old French-Guinean center standing at 2.06 meters, brings a wealth of experience in European basketball. He has previously played for ASVEL and Valencia, among other teams.
Maccabi describe Kaba as a mobile and powerful center, known for his long arms, excellent rebounding ability, and impressive athleticism.
He joined Valencia midway through last season after transferring from the Jiangsu Dragons in the Chinese Basketball Association. However, Kaba's impact at Valencia was minimal, as he averaged just 3.1 points and 2.9 rebounds over seven games.
Before Valencia, Kaba played for Gaziantep Basketbol in the Turkish League, where he was named the MVP for the 2021-22 season. He then signed with Buducnost VOLI Podgorica before moving to the CBA and subsequently to Valencia.
While Kaba has never played in the EuroLeague, he is a seasoned EuroCup veteran, averaging 8.9 points and 8.1 rebounds over four seasons with teams such as ASVEL, Nanterre, and Buducnost.
