Yam Madar is unhappy with his playing time in FC Bayern Munich and has serious interest from Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv and Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv for a return to Israel.
Yam Madar had two impressive games in a row for the Israeli national team in the EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers. His club future is uncertain, though.
The 23-year-old guard admitted being unhappy with his playing time in FC Bayern Munich and is considering offers of at least two other clubs.
"I don't know, we'll have to see. I want to play. It doesn't happen at Bayern, and I'm trying to do everything [I can] to make it happen," Madar told Noa Poplinger from Sport5 after the Qualifiers win against Ukraine on Monday.
"We'll see where things go. I don't know where it will go, but I hope we'll know more in the coming days."
Madar has had an offer from Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv for some time now. Additionally, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv have joined the race for the Israeli playmaker, Moses Barda from ONE reports.
An important note regarding Madar's possible transfer is the local player taxation in Israel. Due to the specific regulations, Madar would have to pay a significant amount of money if he transferred now. However, if the move is made in January, the mandatory tax amount will be cut in half.
