Luca Vildoza remembers the historic first EuroLeague derby ever between Partizan and Zvezda. He also discussed how emotional it is for him to come back to Belgrade.
Ahead of tonight's game between Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade and Olympiacos Piraeus, Argentian guard Luca Vildoza spoke to Mozzart Sport about his emotions returning to Belgrade.
For the Argentinian guard, the Belgrade Arena holds significant emotional value. Even when it's empty, and the team is just preparing for a game, the venue brings back powerful memories.
"It was beautiful when I arrived. The first thing I did when I stepped onto the court was look toward the stands, where the fans were when we won our first EuroLeague derby – the one where Nemanja hit that three-pointer," Vildoza shared, reminiscing about that iconic moment.

For those who might not recall, Vildoza refers to the historic EuroLeague clash between Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade and Partizan.
In the game's final moments, with the score tight, Vildoza had possession of the ball. As he attracted the attention of the entire Partizan defense, he quickly passed it to Nemanja Nedovic, who nailed the game-winning shot in front of the Partizan crowd, securing a memorable victory for Crvena Zvezda.
"I remember how the Partizan fans held their heads in disbelief. Beautiful memories, but well... that's in the past now. I'm here with a new goal: to win with my new team," Vildoza added, now focused on his current mission with his new team.
This season, Vildoza has been averaging 5.3 points and 2.7 assists in the EuroLeague.
