Gabriel Deck is aiming for a mid-February return after a hamstring tear.
Real Madrid forward Gabriel Deck has suffered a severe hamstring tear, according to Carlos Sanchez Blas. The club confirmed the report, following tests carried out on the player that showed a rupture of the hamstring tendon at the level of the left hip.
No estimated recovery time has been specified yet. However, according to Blas, the injury will sideline Deck for several weeks, but the team hopes he can return in time to compete in the Copa del Rey in Gran Canaria in mid-February.
Deck sustained the injury during the ACB League El Clssico against FC Barcelona on Sunday night.
After executing a two-handed dunk on a fast break, he landed awkwardly, which caused significant pain and made it difficult for him to walk normally afterward.
In the current EuroLeague season, the Argentinian forward has been averaging 9.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 10.2 PIR across 18 games.
