Patrick Beverley has been suspended by the team until further notice for mocking coach Dimitris Itoudis on social media.
Hapoel Tel Aviv has officially announced that they are suspending guard Patrick Beverley until further notice.
The American guard had a disagreement with head coach Dimitris Itoudis following yesterday's 82-83 loss in the Israeli League against Hapoel Be’er Sheva. Beverley started the game in the lineup and played nine minutes before being benched, not appearing in the second half.
After the game, Itoudis was asked why Beverley did not play in the second half. He simply responded, "Because I’m the coach."

Beverley later reacted on social media by posting laughing emojis, seemingly expressing his disagreement with the decision.
As of now, the club has decided not to include Beverley in the squad for Wednesday’s crucial EuroCup game against Ulm. Later this week, a decision will be made regarding his participation in the State Cup semifinal next Monday in the derby against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Beverley has been one of Hapoel's most important players this season, averaging 10.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in the EuroCup.
