Bogdanovic on Serbia’s bronze celebration: 'We wanted to be historically drunk'

In the new Netflix documentary "Court of Gold", Bogdan Bogdanovic reflected on the celebrations, saying: "We wanted to be historically drunk."

Serbian basketball star Bogdan Bogdanovic opened up about the team’s unforgettable celebration after winning the bronze medal at the 2024 Olympics.

In the new documentary "Court of Gold", Bogdanovic reflected on the team’s wild celebrations, emphasizing that they wanted to fully embrace the historic moment.

"It was a party all day. You can’t sit down and rest. Enjoy the moment, keep going, keep going. You don’t want it to stop. Having the bronze medal... Your summer was successful. We wanted to be historically drunk," Bogdanovic said.

During the celebration of Serbia's Olympic success, Aleksa Avramovic shared a heartfelt toast, expressing gratitude and pride for the team's achievements.

"Thank you, my teammates, for the wonderful summer. This bronze will shine like gold, and we are returning to our country as winners," he said.

For the Bronze medal, Serbians had to go against Germany and in a hard-fought match, Serbia had achieved third place. Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic secured a triple-double in that game. He scored 19 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and dished 11 assists.

Orlando Magic forward Franz Wagner scored 18 points and had 9 rebounds for Germany, his brother Moritz Wagner had 16 points.
