Walter Tavares and Luka Doncic played together for Real Madrid and created a special bond between each other during that time.

Tavares used another opportunity to praise his former teammate in an interview with Skweek.

"I've known Luka Doncic since he was really young, and he was already talked about a lot in Spain. It was unbelievable when I got the chance to play with him," Tavares started.

"He's just like LeBron James. They are not built the same, but he has everything that LeBron does. Court vision, control of the game, everything is the same. Maybe he can't jump like LeBron, but rest is the same."

Tavares also recalled his playing days with Doncic.

"It was great for me to see such a tall guy play as a point guard and to see someone playing with such ease, controlling everything. It looks like he's playing slow-paced, but he forces you to play in a manner he likes."

"When you are supposed to guard him at practice, you don't know what to do to contain him. It's like he's going so slow, but suddenly changes the rhythm. People think he's slow, but he's just controlling the game," Tavares concluded.
