Anadolu Efes Istanbul guard Rodrigue Beaubois was diagnosed with a partial tear in the calf area and will be forced to miss at least six weeks.
Anadolu Efes Istanbul suffered a significant setback despite a thrilling 97–96 road victory over Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade, as key guard Rodrigue Beaubois went down with an injury during the game.
The injury occurred shortly after Beaubois made a difficult left-handed layup. As he sprinted back on defense, he suddenly clutched his leg in pain. He was quickly assisted off the court by teammates and medical staff, and was later seen leaving to the locker room in a wheelchair.
The club confirmed today that Beaubois underwent an MRI, which revealed a partial tear in his left calf. He has already begun the rehabilitation process and is expected to be sidelined for at least six weeks.
Beaubois has been a vital contributor for Efes this season, averaging 8.9 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists.
His injury comes at a particularly inopportune time, with the team fighting for a direct playoff berth. Efes will aim to finish the regular season strong with a win over Zalgiris Kaunas, which would improve their record to 20–14 and potentially secure a top-six finish in the EuroLeague standings.
