After being named the 2025 EuroCup MVP, American guard Jared Harper extended his contract with Hapoel Jerusalem to remain with the team for the next three seasons.
Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem officially announced the contract extension of Jared Harper through the end of the 2027–28 season.
Harper, who was named the 2024–25 EuroCup MVP earlier today, expressed his excitement about the opportunity to remain with the club.
"This is a big day for me, and I’m thrilled," said Harper after signing his new contract. "I’m in a great situation, at a huge club led by people who want to take the team to the highest levels and are committed to a journey that’s only just beginning."
"I’m eagerly looking forward to the playoffs and for all of us to experience our fans at full force and feed off their energy. When I realized I had everything I wanted in my team right here—I truly couldn’t leave. Yalla Hapoel!" Harper added.
Team owner Matan Adelson also commented on the signing, saying Harper is a player they believe can lead the team to championships in the coming years.
"Reaching the goals we’ve set requires significant moves—and the foundation is keeping the excellent core we’ve built," Adelson said.
"I believe in Jared and in his ability to lead the team to titles in the coming years. Retaining the top backcourt in Israel and the EuroCup clearly reflects our intentions. More to come."
This season, Harper has been outstanding for Hapoel. He led the EuroCup in scoring with 22.8 points per game and also topped the league in efficiency with a rating of 27.2. He averaged 5.7 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game on his way to being named the EuroCup MVP.
