Silver at FIBA World Cup 2023, bronze at the Paris Olympics last summer, and gold at FIBA EuroBasket 2025? That's the goal set for Serbia. The ambition is clear, but there's one crucial condition—players must stay healthy.

Though, EuroBasket fans can likely expect to see three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic competing for Serbia.

Nebojsa Covic, the president of the Serbian basketball federation, indicated in an interview with Sportal.rs that Jokic, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and other core players have agreed to stick together, provided Svetislav Pesic remains the coach.

So, what's the latest news regarding Jokic and the national team?

"As long as we are healthy (sigh), then everything will be fine. I won't reveal the details, but there is an agreement (smile)," Covic told Sportal.

The EuroBasket tournament will take place from August 27 to September 14 and will be hosted in four countries: Cyprus, Finland, Poland, and Latvia.

Serbia will play its group stage games in Riga, facing off against the host nation Latvia, the Czech Republic, Turkiye, Estonia, and Portugal.
