33-year-old guard/forward will remain with the LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne until the end of the 2025-26 season.

"It could not have happened any other way. When absolutely everyone told me 'We must keep him' we did everything we could to achieve just that. David will end his career with us, have his jersey retired, and we will celebrate everything he has brought us... but before all that, he will continue to win titles and bring us joy every day!", said club President Tony Parker.

David Lighty has been with ASVEL since 2017. He was also a part of the French team during the period of 2014-2016. American (1.95) averaged 11.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 33 EuroLeague games last season. He scored a career-high 21 points in a win against Baskonia on January 27.
