Real Madrid's guard Carlos Alocen has withdrawn from the 2021 NBA Draft, ESPN's Jonathan Givony reports. The 20-year-old will be automatically eligible for the 2022 NBA Draft.
Alocen was projected to be selected in the second round. The 1.94 m guard averaged 3.9 points, 2.3 assists, 1.4 rebounds, and 3.3 EFF over 13.4 minutes in the EuroLeague last season. He accumulated 4.3 points, 1.8 assists, 1.6 rebounds, and 3.6 EFF over 12.5 minutes in the Spanish Liga ACB.
He was recently forced to depart from the Spanish National Team due to Covid.
It was also reported that 19-year-old French talent Tom Digbeu and the MVP of the Italian second division, Ousmane Diop, have also withdrawn from the 2021 NBA Draft.
