The Basketball Champions League team has announced the addition of forward Demetre Rivers. The sides agreed to a one-year contract.
The American (25, 203) comes from BC Kaposvar, where he was one of the biggest stars of the Hungarian league.
Rivers is a graduate of Mercer University. In 2018, he went to the G League, where he wore the Maine Red Claws jersey, but soon left for Europe and signed with the Estonian team Parnu. In 2019 he moved to Hungary, where he first put on a Sopron jersey. Rivers then moved to Kaposvar, where he played 36 minutes per game and averaged 17.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists with a 40% shooting from 3-point range.
ERA Nymburk will compete in the BCL Group E together with PAOK Athens, Galtasaray Istanbul, and Igokea.
