The Utah Jazz have officially waived shooting guard Matt Thomas, the team announced in a press release. Thomas, who had arrived in Salt Lake City in March from the Toronto Raptors, averaged 3.6 points and 1.2 rebounds per game with the Jazz.
Thomas had a non-guaranteed deal for the upcoming season, worth around $1.7 million. The Iowa State alum is expected to receive interest from the European market, sources told BasketNews. Thomas has already played in Spain in the past, wearing the colors of Obradoiro and Valencia.
