After terminating Marco Spissu due to failed medical examination, Malaga Unicaja seem to have found a replacement. The Spanish club is in advanced talks with point guard Norris Cole, Encestando.es reports.
Cole spent last season with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne. The 32-year-old averaged 13.7 points (35% 3PT), 3.6 assists, 1.9 rebounds, and 10.3 PIR over 26.3 minutes.
He accumulated 10.3 points (46% 3PT), 2.1 assists, 1.5 rebounds, and 8.8 PIR over 19 minutes.
The 1.88 m guard has played for Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, Italian Avellino, Buducnost, and AS Monaco in Europe after exiting the NBA, where he was a member of the Miami Heat, New Orleans Pelicans, and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Unicaja will play in BCL’s Group C and will face Nizhny Novgorod (Russia), JDA Dijon (France), and Lavrio Megabolt (Greece). The Spanish team will start their campaign with an away game against the Russian squad on October 6.
