After yesterday's addition of Giorgos Bogris, AEK Athens announced another acquisition to their roster - Nikos Pappas. A deal is reportedly for the next season.

Last season the 31-year-old (1.96) spent with Stelmet Zielona Gora. In the Polish league, he averaged 13.3 points and 4 assists in 3 games before getting injured.

Pappas' career highlight was a long stint with Panathinaikos OPAP Athens, which lasted from 2013 till 2020. During this period, the veteran won the Greek League and the Greek Cup five times.

In the next BCL season, AEK Athens will play in Group D where will face Falco Szombathely (Hungary), VEF Riga (Latvia), and the winner of the Qualification Round Tournament Nr. 2. The Greek team will start the competition in an away game versus the Hungarian squad on October 6.
