According to a report from Chris Fedor, the Detroit Pistons are looking at several options to cut down their roster and among those options is trading away French forward Sekou Doumbouya.

After re-signing Hamidou Diallo, the Pistons have 16 players with guaranteed contracts, plus another two on two-way deals, which means that they need to cut or trade at least one player.

After a decent rookie season, Doumbouya could be on his way out. Selected with the 15th pick overall in the 2019 NBA draft, Doumbouya has another guaranteed year left on his deal plus a team option for the 2022-23 season.

Considering his relatively low salary and his young age, he's still only 20-years old, Doumbouya might be an intriguing project for teams with cap space, like the Oklahoma City Thunder or the San Antonio Spurs.

One thing is for sure: Doumbouya's future in Detroit looks in jeopardy.
