FC Barcelona and Dante Exum have reached an agreement to extend their partnership until June 30, 2022, according to the official club's report.
A 26-year-old Australian signed a three-month contract with the Catalans on December 7. His deal expires today.
Since his arrival, Exum has played a total of 17 matches between the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague (11), the Endesa League (3), and the Copa del Rey (3).
Exum is averaging 6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.0 assist, and 7.5 PIR over 16 minutes in the EuroLeague.
So far, his best game has been against Real Madrid in the strongest continental league, when Exum finished the match with 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 19 PIR.
Dante Exum's extension should compensate for the long-term absence of Cory Higgins.
The latter guard underwent surgery for chronic plantar fasciitis that he suffered from in his left foot. The approximate recovery time is three months, per the team's announcement.
