Anadolu Efes Istanbul team captain Dogus Balbay will not be able to play for 4 months due to his injury.
In the official statement made by the Turkish club, it was announced that Balbay "had an arthroscopic right knee surgery performed by the National Teams Doctor Prof. Dr. Barıs Kocaoglu and will stay away from the courts for 4 months."
Balbay had returned from an injury which kept him sidelined for almost four months in mid-March, but he sustained another injury in the game against AS Monaco after spending less than five minutes on the court.
The Turkish international averaged 0.1 points and 0.7 rebounds over 7 EuroLeague apperances this season. His ony point came in the game against CSKA Moscow on October 8, 2021.
