Former NBA and EuroLeague big man Kosta Koufos will continue his professional basketball career in the UK for the London Lions, Marc Stein reports.
He most recently played for Olympiacos Piraeus during the 2020-21 season, when he averaged 4.6 points and 2/3 rebounds in 10 minutes and 8 EuroLeague games.
The 32-year-old Koufos spent 11 years in the NBA with the Utah Jazz, Minnesota Timberwolves, Denver Nuggets, Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings. He averages 5.7 points on 53.4% shooting from the floor and 5.0 rebounds in 686 career NBA games.

The 33-year-old center was a first-round selection (23rd overall) by the Jazz in the 2008 NBA Draft after spending one season at Ohio State. A McDonald’s All-American and Ohio’s Division I Player of the Year, Koufos led GlenOak to a state semifinal appearance as a senior.
Koufos' last team to date was G League's Ignite. The Greek-American player is set to participate in this year's TBT Tournament which starts on July 16.
