Los Angeles Lakers are waiving center Mo Bamba, according to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.
Bamba's non-guaranteed contract is worth $10.3 million.
Unless they can find a trade in the final hours, Los Angeles is also expected to decline Malik Beasley's $16.5 million team option for the 2023-24 season, per the same report.
These moves create salary cap flexibility below the luxury tax threshold, projected to be $165 million.
As reported earlier by The Athletic's Jovan Buha, the Lakers are growing more confident in their ability to secure the services of Bruce Brown Jr., a free-agent wing from the Denver Nuggets.
