Omer Yurtseven was not retained by Miami Heat for next season after an injury-plagued campaign. The Turkish center hits free agency.
Miami Heat are not extending a qualifying offer to Omer Yurtseven, according to Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press.
"We're grateful we got a chance to be there. Disappointed with [Oct.] injury; it was kind of a wasted year for him. We'll try to find a place that values him and helps him reach his potential," Yourtseven's agent Keith Glass said, via Barry Jackson of Miami Herald.
The Turkish center went undrafted along with Max Strus, Gabe Vincent, Caleb Martin, and Duncan Robinson. While the other players mentioned received significant playing time with the Heat and played crucial roles in the team's NBA Finals run this past season, Yurtseven did not have the same opportunities.
