Gay, who played college ball at UConn, joined the NBA in 2006 and spent part of seven seasons with the Grizzlies (2006-13), part of two seasons with the Toronto Raptors (2012-14), and four seasons each with the Sacramento Kings and San Antonio Spurs before joining the Utah Jazz in 2021.
His basketball journey extends beyond the NBA hardwood, as Gay represented Team USA in two FIBA World Cups, contributing to their consecutive gold medal triumphs in 2010 and 2014.
