Russia launched a rocket attack on December 29th, which killed a former member of the Ukrainian basketball national team.
Viktor Kobzistyi was killed during the attack in Lviv, the head of the city council's sports department, Anton Nikulin, announced.
Kobzistyi played for the Ukrainian national team in EuroBasket 2001 (1.5 points, 0.5 rebounds, 0.5 assists) and Eurobasket 2005 (5.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists).
He later worked as an assistant coach for Budivelnik Kyiv and a head coach in Ukraine. Kobzistyi was 44 years old.
