The Detroit Pistons are on the path to becoming the worst team in NBA history. With the trade deadline slowly approaching, the Pistons might trade one of their veterans.

According to NBA insider Marc Stein, Detroit was engaged in exploratory discussions with other teams about trading Bojan Bogdanovic in late 2023.

A 9-year veteran, Bogdanovic has been averaging 19.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists on 46.7% shooting this season. He is second on the team in scoring only behind Cade Cunningham.

The Pistons currently have just 4 wins in 40 games, on track to finish the a worse record than the infamous Philadelphia 76ers, who won just 9 games in an 82-game season backing 1973. The likelihood of Bogdanovic getting traded will depend on how much the Pistons want to avoid such an embarrassment, Stein notes.

Detroit already put itself in the record books this season after recording 28 consecutive losses earlier.

Bogdanovic is currently sidelined with a calf injury.
