Utah Jazz will trade Simone Fontecchio to the Detroit Pistons.
Italian swingman Simone Fontecchio will move to the second NBA team of his career, the Detroit Pistons, after a stint with the Utah Jazz.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Utah Jazz are trading Fontecchio to the Detroit Pistons in return for Kevin Knox, a 2024 second-round draft pick, and the draft rights to Gabriele Procida.
The move will help the Pistons' roster gain some depth in an abysmal season with just 6 wins and 43 losses.
It also, coincidentally, transfers Fontecchio's countryman and national team teammate Gabriele Procida's rights to the Utah Jazz.
In his second NBA and Utah Jazz year, Simone Fontecchio averaged 8.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.
