Portland Trail Blazers will sign a new contract with Australian big man Duop Reath.
Duop Reath is slated to stay with the Portland Trail Blazers after a strong performance with the team this year.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the team will sign Reath to a standard three-year contract.
This will be a vast improvement on Reath's previous situation in the team, which entailed a two-way contract that saw the big man split time between the Trail Blazers and its G-League affiliate, the Rip City Remix.
In the summer, the Australian had signed a one-year deal with the Trail Blazers but was then waived. Despite this, he reached an agreement to have a two-way contract with the team.
Reath has performed well, given his minutes and role in the rotation, averaging 8.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 17.4 minutes.
