Vasilije Micic is making himself home at the Charlotte Hornets, and the team's coach, Steve Clifford, is liking how the guard is playing so far.

In post-game remarks after the team's victory against the Portland Trail Blazers with a score of 80-93, which was their fifth victory in their last six games after Micic and other players were traded for, Clifford had these to say about the Serbian guard.

"He's a talented player. His awareness, his feel for the game is really exceptional. So, I think as he gets comfortable, there is still a 'newness' to us... I think the more organized we get offensively, the better he'll play," said the coach, lauding his new player.

"Listen, his IQ, his awareness, his vision... Look, the guy was MVP in Europe two years in a row," Clifford said, referencing the back-to-back EuroLeague championships of Anadolu Efes Istanbul in which Micic was named consecutive Final Four MVPs. "He's big, his size, he can pass, he can shoot, [he's] smart, he's a good pick-and-roll player," Clifford continued.

Ultimately, Clifford believes that Micic still needs more to be more comfortable and play even better with the team.

Since coming to the Hornets, Micic is averaging 9.6 points, 2 rebounds, and 6 assists per game, which are vast improvements in comparison to his time in the Oklahoma City Thunder.
