Ahead of the Friday matchup, the Grizzlies released an injury report listing 13 players out of action: Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., Desmond Bane, Marcus Smart, Santi Aldama, Derrick Rose, Brandon Clarke, Luke Kennard, Ziaire Williams, John Konchar, Lamar Stevens, Yuta Watanabe, and Vince Williams Jr.
