Memphis Grizzlies listed 13 players out vs. the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday. Yuta Watanabe was the only player absent for personal reasons, others had injury problems.

Memphis Grizzlies have been plagued by injuries throughout the season, and their recent game against the Los Angeles Lakers epitomized their struggles.

Ahead of the Friday matchup, the Grizzlies released an injury report listing 13 players out of action: Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., Desmond Bane, Marcus Smart, Santi Aldama, Derrick Rose, Brandon Clarke, Luke Kennard, Ziaire Williams, John Konchar, Lamar Stevens, Yuta Watanabe, and Vince Williams Jr.

Watanabe was the only player absent for personal reasons, others had injury problems.

Despite the adversity, the youthful Memphis squad battled for the entire 48 minutes against the Lakers. In the end, Los Angeles narrowly escaped with a 123-120 victory.

The Grizzlies' season has been marred by a multitude of injuries, contributing to their disappointing 27–54 record. This marks Memphis' worst record since the 2017-18 season.
