The Philadelphia 76ers are expected to re-sign Nicolas Batum, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Kyle Lowry.
The Philadelphia 76ers are looking to keep Nicolas Batum, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Kyle Lowry on the team. All three free agents fit well with stars Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, and they might not be too expensive to retain.
"Based CBA constraints, a source said Nico Batum, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Kyle Lowry are the free agents the team most likely would like to re-sign," Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer wrote.
Batum has become an important piece to the Sixers. Acquired from the Los Angeles Clippers in a Nov. 1 trade, he brought strong defense and efficient offense without needing to dominate the ball.
In his 57 games with Philly, he averaged 5.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists.
Batum made $11.7 million last season. The team holds his Bird rights and has a cap hold of $17.5 million on the 35-year-old.
The expectation is that Batum will get a slight raise but on a shorter contract than initially anticipated.
