Malik Monk plans to stay with the Sacramento Kings on a four-year, $78 million contract following a standout season as the NBA Sixth Man of the Year runner-up.
Free agent guard Malik Monk, the runner-up for the 2023-24 NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award, plans to sign a four-year, $78 million contract to return to the Sacramento Kings, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Monk intends to finalize the deal once the league's moratorium ends on July 6.
Although free agency does not officially begin until June 30, this agreement does not violate any league rules. Under the new collective bargaining agreement, teams can start negotiating with their own free agents one day after the NBA Finals conclude.
