Tyrese Haliburton dealt with a minor leg injury during the Olympics and underwent an MRI. The injury is not expected to cause long-term concerns.
Tyrese Haliburton, the Indiana Pacers' point guard, managed a minor leg injury during the Olympics in Paris.
According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, Haliburton underwent an MRI to assess the injury, but there is no indication that it will have lasting effects.
During the Olympic tournament, Haliburton played a limited role for Team USA, averaging 8.8 minutes per game across three appearances.
Serving as the team's 12th man, he did not participate in the semifinal or final, though the Americans went on to secure the gold medal with a perfect 6-0 record.
Haliburton had been dealing with a hamstring strain since January.
Despite the setback, he appeared in 69 games, earned a spot on the All-NBA Third Team, and secured a contract extension starting at 30% of the salary cap.
