Dwight Howard will be participating in the next season of "Dancing with the Stars."
Eight-time NBA All-Star Dwight Howard has had a solid 18-season career, but now he's stepping into a new spotlight: the dance floor.
The former NBA champion is set to join the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars," as announced by "Good Morning America."
Howard shared with GMA that while he's been dancing his whole life, ballroom dancing is a new challenge for him. He expressed excitement about working with his professional partner, Daniella Karagach, saying, "I'm definitely going to trust her, follow her lead, and have a lot of fun."
This isn't Howard's first foray into something new. In 2022, he participated in WWE tryouts in Nashville, showing his interest in joining the wrestling world.
At 38, Howard is still active in professional basketball, currently playing in Taiwan after his stint with the Los Angeles Lakers, with whom he won an NBA championship in 2020. He also led the Orlando Magic to an NBA Finals appearance in 2009.
Additionally, he was a walking double-double during his prime. He's averaged a double-double 14 times during his 18-year career across seven teams.
