Daniel Gafford is considering the possibility of joining Slovenia's national team in the future.
Dallas Mavericks big man Daniel Gafford is still considering the possibility of joining his teammate Luka Doncic on the international stage by accepting an invitation to play for Slovenia's national team in the future, according to NBA insider Marc Stein.
Gafford previously expressed interest in playing for Slovenia, but the team did not complete the naturalization process for him in time for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament for a spot in the Paris Olympics this past summer.
At Media Day, when asked if he had been practicing his Slovenian, Gafford replied, "No, I have not. That's a funny question... In the near future, I'm thinking about it. We'll keep it at that."
