Many in the NBA community were shocked to find out that LaMelo Ball did not make the All-Star team.

The league announced the 14 reserve players for the All-Star Game and the Charlotte Hornets star, who had only appeared in the All-Star Game once previously, was left off the group.

Ball is averaging 28.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game while shooting 41% from the floor and 33% from the 3-point area this season.

The snub came as a surprise since Ball led the Eastern Conference guards in fan votes.

Other notable players in the East that were snubbed from the All-Star team are Trae Young, Tyrese Maxey, Tyrese Haliburton, and Franz Wagner.

Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving, Norman Powell, Devin Booker, Domantas Sabonis, and De'Aaron Fox were the biggest snubs in the West.
