The Golden State Warriors have not been actively pursuing a trade for Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler, and recent insights suggest that head coach Steve Kerr and point guard Stephen Curry may be factors in this hesitation.

"My league sources say Stephen Curry specifically has concerns about Jimmy Butler's fit in the Warriors' locker room, and Steve Kerr shares those feelings," Kevin O'Connor said during his show.

Given Butler's tumultuous history with past teams, including the Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Philadelphia 76ers, it's understandable that Curry and Kerr might have reservations.

Each of these stints ended on contentious terms before Butler found a home in Miami in 2019.

However, the situation in Miami has taken a turn as well.

Butler requested a trade, citing a loss of joy in playing for the Heat. Compounding matters, he has been suspended three times this month, including a recent incident where he left practice early.

His current average of 17.0 points per game is the lowest it has been since his third NBA season in 2013-14.
