The Philadelphia 76ers will be without Paul George for the rest of the season.

The 34-year-old forward received injections in his left adductor muscle and left knee on Monday and has been ruled out, according to Shams Charania of ESPN. He is expected to be sidelined for at least six weeks.

George spent the past week consulting with doctors to determine the best treatment options, per the same report.

The veteran has dealt with multiple injuries this season, including two knee hyperextensions in October and November, a finger tendon injury in January, and a recent groin issue.

George played 41 games this campaign, averaging 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists. His last appearance was on March 4 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Since then, speculation about his injuries had raised concerns that his season might be over, with surgery also being considered as an option.

He had previously stepped away from podcasting to focus on the season, but with his injury, he may return to the microphone sooner than expected.

The 76ers are already without Joel Embiid, who was also ruled out for the season due to a knee injury. With a 23-44 record, Philadelphia currently sits 12th in the Eastern Conference, struggling to stay competitive.
