Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard has sustained a deep vein thrombosis (blood clot) in his right calf. He is out indefinitely.
The Milwaukee Bucks have suffered a significant blow, as one of their stars, Damian Lillard, may miss a substantial amount of time—or even the rest of the season—due to a concerning health diagnosis.
According to Shams Charania of ESPN, Lillard has been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis (a blood clot) in his right calf.
He is currently on blood-thinning medication, which has stabilized the clot, and will undergo regular testing. As a result, he is out indefinitely.
This season, Lillard has averaged 24.9 points, 7.1 assists, and 4.7 rebounds in 58 games for the Bucks, helping them contend for home-court advantage in the playoffs. The team currently sits fifth in the Eastern Conference with a 40-31 record.
