With Damian Lillard’s future in question due to a blood clot in his right calf, NBA analyst Gilbert Arenas has suggested that the Milwaukee Bucks consider trading Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Arenas believes this move could kickstart a rebuild for Milwaukee while maximizing their return in a deal featuring young talent and multiple first-round draft picks.

"Best thing they can do is send Giannis to the only place that can change their franchise a little bit, OKC," Arenas said on Gil’s Arena. "I’ll give you Giannis, give me some of those picks and some of that, and come on. The only thing that’s going to build the franchise is trying to get some of those draft picks. No free agents are going to come there."

Arenas argued that certain markets, like Milwaukee, struggle to attract star free agents, making a blockbuster trade the best way to reset the franchise.

"There are just certain cities the market itself can’t sustain a certain amount of players that’s making that type of money," he added. "If this was New York’s team, I can bring on two more superstars and be fine."

This season, the 30-year-old Greek averages 30.2 points, 12 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game while shooting 60% from the field.

Milwaukee are currently 6th in the Eastern Conference with a 40-32 record.
