Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo responded to LeBron James' claim that he would score 250 points in a single game if he played in the 1970s, joking that it would actually be more like 275.
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James recently shared a bold take, saying Giannis Antetokounmpo would score 250 points in a single game if he played back in the 1970s.
After the Milwaukee Bucks' loss to the New York Knicks on Friday, Giannis reacted to LeBron's comment with a funny response, saying he would actually score 275 points in a single game back then.
"I don't know about that take. I think it's wrong... It would probably be more like 275," Giannis jokingly said.
"It's a great compliment, but I don't like comparing eras—it's not fair. If I played in the '70s, with how everybody was practicing and playing, we would have played the same way. That's all you knew at the time, and the game has evolved since then," he added.
Even without averaging 250 points per game today, Giannis is a matchup nightmare for every opponent in the league. He's averaging 30.2 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 6.0 assists this season with the Bucks.
