C.J. McCollum is staying positive as he recovers from his right foot injury. In a recent conversation with Mark Medina of Sportskeeda, the New Orleans Pelicans guard shared an encouraging update about his health and the team’s future.

"I feel confident I’ll be ready to go when the time comes," McCollum said, noting that while the injury has been tough to deal with, it won’t throw off his offseason.

He expects to be fully healthy by training camp and plans to follow a mostly normal summer workout routine.

The veteran guard also took time to highlight Zion Williamson's progress this season, praising the young forward’s growth and mindset.

"He’s taken a step forward in his approach," McCollum pointed out, saying Zion's dedication is becoming more and more clear both on and off the floor.

Looking ahead, McCollum is excited about what the Pelicans can do when they’re all healthy.

"If we can all be out there consistently, I think we’re capable of making real noise," he said.

This season, the 33-year-old put up strong numbers, he averaged 21.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game while shooting 44.4% from the field.
