The Los Angeles Lakers put in a surprising effort on Sunday and delivered a dominating display against the Oklahoma City Thunder, crushing the league leaders 126-99.

After the game, Luka Doncic, who led the Lakers to the win with a dominant 30-point, 7-rebound, and 6-assist performance, revealed who inspired him and the team to earn this huge victory over the Thunder.

Luka said it was Real Madrid's win in El Clasico that inspired them to put up the performance they did.

"The whole team was inspired because Real Madrid won El Clasico in basketball today," Luka said in the postgame interview.

With this win and the results of other teams, the Lakers gained some separation as the third seed in the Western Conference. With a 48-30 record, they now have a one-win advantage over the Denver Nuggets, who have played one more game than the Lakers.

The Lakers will play their next game once again against the Thunder on Tuesday.
