Paul Pierce suggested that Nikola Jokic could join the Oklahoma City Thunder this summer, given the valuable assets OKC has.
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic's loyalty may be tested this upcoming offseason, as league circles speculate on his future.
With coach Michael Malone and GM Calvin Booth leaving, there's a chance Jokic could explore new opportunities if the Nuggets' playoff run falls short this season.
NBA legend Paul Pierce suggested that the Oklahoma City Thunder could be a viable destination for Jokic, given their wealth of assets. This potential move would unite two MVP frontrunners—Jokic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
"I can see Joker ended up in OKC if they don't do it," Pierce said on the recent Ticket & The Truth podcast. "The thing about the OKC, they got the assets. They can propose something that nobody else can propose. They're built to be good for the next 10 years."

When co-host Kevin Garnett asked Pierce what he would be willing to give up for Jokic, he named two All-Star caliber big men.
"I gotta sign Chet [Holmgren] to a big deal and then add some pieces to that," Pierce stated. "I'm willing to give up Chet, Jalen Williams, and some first-round picks."
The 30-year-old Jokic, who has been with the Nuggets since 2015, won the championship in 2023 and is a three-time NBA MVP.
This season, the Serbian star is averaging a triple-double of 29.8 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 10.2 assists over 68 games.
