Dallas Mavericks GM Nico Harrison revealed that he has no regrets about trading Luka Doncic.
Dallas Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison held a private roundtable with media members on Monday, where he doubled down on the shocking trade that sent franchise cornerstone Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Harrison made it clear he has no regrets about the move and remains focused on guiding the Mavericks toward their long-term goals.
"There are no regrets about the trade. Part of my job is doing what’s best for the Mavs," Harrison said, according to Briauna Brown of CBS News.
Following the blockbuster deal, Dallas endured a string of misfortunes. Injuries have taken a toll on the roster, sidelining key players—including Kyrie Irving, who has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Although Anthony Davis, acquired in the trade, has returned to action, the team has struggled to stay healthy and consistent.
Despite the setbacks, the Mavericks still have a shot at reaching the postseason. They’ll face the Sacramento Kings in the play-in tournament, with the winner moving on to battle the Memphis Grizzlies for the Western Conference’s final playoff spot as the eighth seed.
